Introducing Megalomania - video

The word megalomania is derived from the Greek words megalo-, meaning large or great, and mania, meaning madness, frenzy. It is also an excellant Black Sabbath song (see at the bottom) This is a suitable name for the new track at Bushcombe which is a speed freenzy and large open corners.

Winter training indoors - video

When people talk about winter training indoors it usually means turbo training. A few club members decided that this did not help their skills so with the help of a few cones they set up a skills course indoors.

Cranham track closures - Updated

Some of you will be aware that the recent change in ownership of some land within Cranham Woods has resulted in some of the long established MTB tracks coming under threat from closure. I have been on a bit of a fact finding mission to see what the state of play is and how we can minimise any loss of trails in this area.

AboutUs

TheCorrective represents more a state of mind than a specific group of mountain bike riders. We are a division of  Cheltenham and County Cycling Club (CC-CC) who want to take biking a bit further than the regular cross country rides. We are involved in  Technical Cross Country, Downhill, Dirt Jump and BMX riding, but primarily we are about pushing personal limits, not necessarily ultimate limits. It’s all about the grin factor.

“The greatest risk in life is to risk nothing at all…”

Located in the Cheltenham area, Gloucestershire, we regularly ride local trails but we have a very active schedule riding and racing all over the country. See the Gravity Assisted Therapy page for details of the latest activities.

One of the greatest satisfactions in biking is to ride something that you have built. From a little wooden kicker to a new downhill track. The corrective is committed to improving biking facilities in the Gloucestershire area. We have been involved in many projects and have even come to an agreement with a local landowner so we can build on his hill. Have a look at the Venues page for all the details.

TheCorrective welcomes riders who are not currently CC-CC members. We invite anyone to our dig days and you are entitled to come riding with us a few times before joining.

If you want to know more about us or find out how to join CC-CC, go to our ContactUs page.
